Been A While

Posted in Community, Events with tags , , on October 4, 2009 by Scott Hobbs

It has been a while since we’ve updated the blog here.  We’ve been in the process of trying to staff all of the needed areas at ethos and catch up on service recording editing from the summer.  We should be back on track here.  It’s going to be an exciting Fall here at Eagle’s Nest.  We’ve been taking a look at being involved and sharing our faith.  We had an awesome week with Ken Johnson (the audio should be up here in a few days).

We’re going to be hearing from some of the other Pastors here in the coming weeks, as well as, Scott Dailey and Chip Reese.  We also are going to have our annual Christmas Program on Dec. 20th.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE HERE NEXT WEEK! I believe that next week will be one of the most intimate and powerful times at ethos that we have had.  Make sure you are here and bring somebody!  Go ahead and ask yourself . . . what do I need?

See ya next week!

Last Week and This Week

Posted in Community, Events, Messages with tags , , , , on March 13, 2009 by Scott Hobbs

Congrats to all of our folks who took the plunge in Baptism this past week!  It was an awesome time to worship our King and celebrate with those who went public with thier faith!  We will be doing that again later this spring, so if you haven’t been Baptized or would like to renew your public committment, make plans!

This week we will be finishing up our “Thirsty” series with a serious challenge.  What does the worshipping church look like?  Heck, what does the church look like?  Even bigger, just what is the church anyway?

DON’T MISS IT!  BRING SOMEBODY!

Sunday Wrap Up

Posted in Community, Events, General Info. with tags , , , , , , , , on October 27, 2008 by Scott Hobbs
  • What a killer night!  Thanks to Pastor Bob for coming out and sharing with us!
  • The ethos Band rocked it out – thanks for leading us to the throne room!  I loved the new song Rain Down.  It’s from the worship album We Cry Out.  If you would like to find out more or pick the disk up, visit www.jesusculture.org.
  • It has been amazing to watch the Lord grow our community over these last seven weeks since the move!  Keep up the passion and excitement!  Invite you friends!  Get Involved!
  • We need people who have a heart for children to become invovled with nursery for Sunday nights.  There are a number of families who would like to come, but cannot because of our lack of child care.  Pray about it and get in touch with Pastor Scott.
  • If you haven’t gotten your Chris Sligh tickets yet, make sure you do!  It’s going to be awesome!  Visit www.wknz.org to pick up tickets for you and your friends!  They are only 10 bucks so buy extra and give some away!
  • Next weeks Traffic topic – “Yield” – It’s something we all need to do!

WOW!  What an exciting time for ethos!  There are some amazing things in store for the next few weeks!  You not only don’t want to miss it, you want to make sure that you are bringing some folks with you!

This Sunday:  We’re going to be talking about Baptism – Why?  How?  When? and much more!   Also, the Worship Team from the Sunday Morning Service is coming to hang out with us!

Next week (the 7th): We’re having a night of worship and prayer with the whole church!  We will have various worship leaders (including some of our own ethos folks), great times of prayer for our church, nation, and world, and we will close our night with Baptisms!  If you would like to be baptized, let Pastor Scott know at ethos our by email.

September 14th: We’re taking over the Sanctuary on Sunday nights!  It’s going to be awesome!  We’ll be stepping up the Cafe’ with new products and we’ll be stepping up our worship service!  BRING SOMEBODY!

Get ready for an awesome Fall!

Don’t Miss One Prayer this Week

Posted in Events, Messages with tags , , , on June 26, 2008 by Scott Hobbs

What a way to join with the church from around the world!  We’ll be joining together in prayer for the Ecuador missions team as they leave right after ethos to minister in that country.  We also have guest speaker Chris Scarborough coming from Liberty Christian Fellowship in North Carolina to share his heart and faith wit us.

It’s going to rock!  Be there!
