Q: “What is ethos?”
A: ethos is a growing community of everyday people that gather at Eagle’s Nest Fellowship Church in Milton, DE. It consists of a weekly gathering on Sundays at 7:00 PM (with coffee, conversation, worship, prayer, and hanging out), this online blog community site, and extra events to get together to become community.
Our core values are Mission, Worship, Learning, and Fellowship. We intend to fulfill these values by doing these three things: Relational and Relevant Gatherings, Relational and Relevant Fellowship, and Relational and Relevant Care. Our heart is to be serious about these things and to do them well.
Q: “Why the name ethos?
A: An “ethos” is a set of values and beliefs that affect and represent a community or group of people. For us, our belief in Jesus and His amazing impact in our daily lives is the thing that drives our community. We want that passion to impact the world we live in by our living it everywhere we go. “Life:Community:Christ”
Q: “Why Sunday night?”
A. Although anyone and everyone who wants to come to get involved is welcome, our target age group is young adults. Many young adults work all through the weekend and are unable to attend regular church services. We also are making ourselves relevant, relational, and available to those who might not ever attend a Sunday Morning service somewhere. There is coffee, fairly loud – modern music, conversations, teaching, and fellowship.
Q: “Is ethos a church?”
A. Yes and Yes. The Bible says that the people are the church, so Yes! But, ethos is also a ministry of Eagle’s Nest Fellowship Church who’s purpose is to be a venue of worship and a growing community for those who can’t attend a regular services, be relevant to modern culture, and reach out to people who aren’t connected to God. So again, YES!
